Jaybo Monk (born Jérémy Baudouin in 1963 in Paris) is a French-born artist who lives and works in Berlin. After running away from home at 14, he immersed himself in street life, first in France, then later relocating to Berlin, where he developed his practice through graffiti, street theatre, music, and graphic culture. His art merges figurative and abstract forms—fragments of portraits, dreamlike scenes, found objects and visual “reflexes”—to explore memory, identity and the emotional terrain of the modern world. He is also co-founder of the streetwear label Iriedaily and of the magazine Style and the Family Tunes, two outlets that reflect his interest in the intersections of youth culture, fashion, and art. Jaybo Monk’s work has exhibited internationally since the mid-2000s, in venues ranging from street installations to galleries in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Perth and Melbourne.
